JOB SUMMARY:
This is a front desk scheduler position. Provides accuratepatient scheduling, registration and insurance processing. Maintains accuratepatient records and department logs as required.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Patient scheduling and registration
>Answersphones promptly and schedules, verifies or re-schedules appointments.
>Collects andenters all required patient scheduling information into system.
>Verifiesdemographic and insurance information, updates as needed.
>May collectcopay and issue a receipt.
>May conductcharge review, collection and entry.
>Assuresaccurate patient orders are received.
>Instructspatient and staff regarding special instructions and preparation.
>Greets andchecks in patients upon arrival.
>Maintaindepartmental records, reports and files
* Maintain patient records and department logs as required.
>Prints anddistributes reports as required.
>May updatescheduling procedure manual.
>May beaccountable for office supply ordering and stocking.
>Other dutiesas assigned.
REQUIRED:
* High school diploma or GED
* Epic experience
* Phone
* Medical Scheduling
* Working knowledge of Windows, Word & Excel
PREFERRED:
* Vocational or Technical training in medical field
* 2-5 years medical office experience, including scheduling& registration, within an automated environment
